Maybe you should have an Energy Survey. We provide a Level 1 Energy Survey which is a no nonsense, practical evaluation of your home to investigate ways to help you conserve energy. The evaluation takes between one and two hours and we will provide you with a list of suggestions, custom tailored, to your home. Usually the implementation of most of the suggestions can be performed by a handy homeowner.
A Level 1 Energy Survey is a visual inspection of the property, it does not include using Thermal Image Camera or Blower Door testing and as such is priced reasonably inexpensively. While Level 2 and Level 3 (certified energy audit) evaluations are most comprehensive and require more sophisticated test equipment, they are also more expensive to perform and could be a good idea on problem houses. But, usually most homes can lower their energy costs by following the suggestions gathered by a Level 1 survey. Some houses may require Level 2 (thermal image camera) and Level 3 (blower door) evaluations, which we do not provide at this time.
We do not offer any guarantees on how much your energy costs will be reduced if you follow our recommendations because everyone’s implementation and usage will vary.
We will need to access the basement and attic. Crawlspace may effect cost.
